Winning Trim Details : We asked visitors to our online Project Gallery to submit their best examples of exterior-trim projects that would inspire any finish carpenter. With the help of our online community, we selected a winner and three runner-ups.

Greek-Revival House
The original exterior of this early 1900s Connecticut home had nice proportions, but it lacked distinctive exterior trim details. A remodeling project gave the homeowners an opportunity to add the details the house seemed to be calling for. Along with new corner boards and window casings, the design/build team added a new front door with transom and sidelites and a front portico embellished with iconic columns and dentil moldings, as well as a balustrade atop the sunroom's flat roof.
