A new kitchen completely transformed a long, narrow space into a large kitchen that is connected to the back yard. An undulating island overlooking the patio houses the sink, dishwasher, trash, and a second oven. The island is wrapped in a higher bar counter used for informal dining. A walk-in pantry was created out of an un-used corner and a wet bar was tucked into another corner. Cherry cabinets are topped with granite counters. The same slab of granite was used to cover the backsplashes and even outlet covers.
