Some of the company’s recently completed projects include:
- A new 6500 SF Guilford, CT waterfront home. This custom designed home has many magnificent features including Sapele hardwood floors, coffered ceilings, paneled foyer, curved staircase, Ipe decking, master suite with endless built-ins and a gourmet-cook’s kitchen and butler’s pantry.
- An outdated kitchen remodel where a wall was shifted and a peninsula and table were removed to allow for a more efficient and spacious kitchen. Remodeled spaces include a wet bar, pantry, island and well-organized kitchen.
- A 10,000 SF new home required a pile-driven foundation, a steel frame and other hurricane-proof elements. This waterfront home features radiant heat coils throughout with a geo-thermal heating and cooling system.
- A first floor remodel that included moving a kitchen from one end of the house to the other and creating a large family kitchen for an ambitious cook. The original kitchen was not only small and inefficient, but lacked views of nearby Long Island Sound. The new first floor layout brought vast spaces to the new kitchen and tied the indoor rooms to the yard and views.
- Specialty millwork recently completed in a new home: A master suite closet and dressing room featuring his and her designated sides with his tie closet and her shoe cabinet and other requested individualized storage spaces.
- A Simmons’ designed new home on the Madison waterfront: a 3500 SF two-storey home features an open floor plan with views of Long Island Sound through the large windows. All interior spaces and millwork in this home were designed and manufactured by Simmons and the River Mill Company.
- A whole house remodel: a small outdated ranch transformed into a sprawling bungalow in a woodland setting. The remodel includes a master suite, an open-air porch with cedar tree posts, a new three-season room and an exterior facelift with cedar shingle siding and prairie-style windows.
- A remodel where a small, dark kitchen traded places with an adjoining dining room and was transformed into a bright, open space. This renovation was accomplished with fine craftsmanship while adhering to a strict budget.
